The Thompson Columbia Brigade Society will be hosting the 2011 David Thompson Columbia Brigade which is a 1600 kilometre paddling journey. This event will be held from June 1 to July 16 2011 and is comprised of some 200 Canadian and US paddlers in 20 Voyageur canoes who will navigate the waters of the Columbia River Basin.
