This project supports the completion of a kokanee enumeration within the Kootenay River Watershed above Koocanusa Reservoir north to Finlay Creek. Ground assessments will occur during peak spawning periods at Nurbury Creek and a side channel of the Bull River. Aerial fish counts will be conducted at established index sites in 7 locations throughout the Kootenay River Watershed. Kokanee productivity will also be measured in this assessment by non-lethally capturing 80 kokanee (40 males 40 females) at Norbury Creek.
