The West Kootenay Community EcoSociety received funding to support the operation of 2014 MarketFest. MarketFest is a lively night market and music showcase put on by the EcoSociety which takes place on Nelson's historic Baker Street. The festival runs three events once each in June July and August. MarketFest is a community-oriented event that's fun for the whole family and features over 100 vendors kids entertainment dance performances and live bands on two stages.
