The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) received funding to deliver the Access Guardian Program 2016 - 2020. The Access Guardian Program provides a backcountry Access Guardian hired by the Conservation Officer Service to perform duties within the Southern Rocky Mountain Management Plan area which lies within Electoral Area A of the RDEK.
