This project supports the research and development of an Aquatic Habitat Index on Kootenay Lake. Field research on Kootenay Lake will begin in the summer of 2012 dividing the lake into segments and assigning values and risk ranking to each segment to identify zones of sensitivity. The results of this research will inform the development of lake management guidelines that will be shared with land-use decision-makers First Nations and residents.
