Assessment of Western Toad Mortality on Highway 6 at Summit Lake is a research and education project that will assess the timing severity and location of mortality of the near-threatened western toad. The end goal of this project will be to design permanent mitigation strategies (fencing and highway underpass structures) and to engage the public through educational activities.
