Bird Sighting Records FY02

Mildred White is a well known long time Kimberley naturalist whose range is generally from Lake Koocanusa to Fairmont. For the past thirty years she has diligently recorded and collected bird sightings on field trips from around her own back yard and from other bird watchers. Mildred has collected approximately 4500 records. These note books are a valuable source of environmental data important for maintaining and increasing the documented knowledge of birds in the southern Rocky Mountain trench. The project will require entering these records into a database which would be accessible to the public and would allow for ongoing local entries.
