The West Kootenay Regional Arts Council received funds to coordinate the delivery of the Business for the Arts - artsVest Program throughout the Columbia Basin region. Business for the Arts is a national program which receives funding through Canadian Heritage to support the development of the cultural sector. artsVest is a matching incentive and sponsorship training program of Business for the Arts and is designed to stimulate business sponsorships and corporate engagement in arts and culture. This Program will build the capacity of arts organizations to develop relationships and to obtain investments from the business community which in turn strengthens the sustainability of the cultural sector.
