The Village of Salmo through its participation in the Communites Adapting to Climate Change (CACCI) Climate Adaptation Planning and Scanning Workshop identified three key priority climate change risks; flood risk protection of community water supply and protection of the quantity and quality of water in the Salmo area . This project will undertake the development of a wetland to serve as storm water retention basin an action identified in the Climate Adaptation Action Plan.
