The Carbon Neutral Kootenays (CNK) Project is a collaboration of local governments and First Nations in the Kootenays with the goal of reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from municipal regional and First Nations' corporate operations. This a jointly funded project; CBT will provide $25000 and the Regional Districts of East Kootenay Kootenay Boundary and Central Kootenay will each provide $25000 to support the implementation of Phase 2 recommendations in the Carbon Neutral Kootenays Year 4 project for the 28 Kootenay municipalities five First Nation communities three Regional Districts signed on to the BC Climate Action Charter.
