This project supports the development of a model climate resilient SDS bylaw for communities in the Basin. This project also supports the tailoring of this generic model bylaw to four communities in the Columbia Basin (Elkford Rossland Kimberley and Castlegar). The model bylaw will incorporate potential climate change impacts and adaptations particularly with respect to stormwater management and existing best practices for the economic and environmental sustainability of new subdivisions and existing developments.
