A critical component of Columbia River Greenway's (CRG) Pilot Project is the development of a strong environmental education program. As a part of that program CRG is hosting a 1half day riparian assessment and stewardship workshop for the general public and the agricultural producers in the Invermere area. This workshop brings Barry Adams and Lorne Fitch from the Cows and Fish program of Alberta to Invermere. They will teach participants about the ecological and economic need for and benefits of riparian management as well as provide attendees with a take home "tool kit" for riparian management on their own properties.
