The larger purpose of this project is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within BC. While this project is a feasibility study the purpose and intent in proven feasible is to generate clean run of the river hydro electricity in Denver Canyon every megawatt of which will mean that much less electricity that will have to be generated through the use of fossil fuesl.
