The Kootenay Literary Society will be hosting the Elephant Mountain Literary Festival in Nelson on July 11 14 2013. This three day festival will offer an opening social evening reading writing and publishing panels pitches to literacy agents and a youth writing workshop. The aim of the festival is to enhance and augment area readers and writers' access to nationally significant authors and publishers as well as showcase local talent. CBT funds will be used for the costs associated with this event.
