The Kootenay Literary Society is hosting the Elephant Mountain Literary Festival on July 10-12 2015 in Nelson BC. This festival promotes Canadian literature by bringing in nationally significant authors and publishers showcasing them alongside local talent. The festival also offers educational and inspiring panel discussions and workshops for youth and adult and gives residents a chance to pitch their manuscripts.
