On November 23 2001 twenty one individuals representing school districts non profits organiations government agencies and First Nations with environmental education programs that actively address Basin residents met in Invermere. The recommendations that came out of that meeting were: to build an Environmental Education coalition or network to host an Environmental Education Institute or extended workshop to create an Environmental Education school package with Basin wide application. Phase two of this project intends to turn these recommendations into reality.
