Provide funds to the Contractor to undertake development work towards the establishment of a sustainable women's social purpose cooperative enterprise. This work will include feasibility studies of three potential businesses and selection of the most suitable enterprise to pursue. The long range intention is to create a sustainable livelihood for 6 10 women and for the West Kootenay Women's Association; to operate a sustainable women's cooperative venture modeling cooperative business principles ideologies of living work places consensus decision making and equitable investment and risk sharing; and to offer women in our community access to hands on skills training in the cooperative model.
