The Fernie Writers' Conference Society will be hosting a celebration of writers and writing that takes place in the Elk Valley on July 17 24 2011. This Conference brings award winning writers from across Canada to instruct read and present to an audience from the Elk Valley Columbia Basin and beyond. The Conference culminates with a two day festival of writing and reading that is open to the public. CBT funds will be used towards the costs associated with the event.
