The Golden Dolphin Swim Meet is held on July 4 and 5th 2009 in Golden. Approximately 180 to 200 swimmers from the Revelstoke Salmon Arm and Kelowna Swim Clubs attend the meet. An invitation to attend is provided to all Okanogan Summer Swim Clubs through the BCSSA website. The aims and objectives of the swim meet are to promote physical activity for youths to promote and develop competitive swimming as a sport in a safe environment and to provide opportunities for training competition and activities for our community and visiting communities. The cost of the swim meet is kept to a minimum thanks to the many volunteers involved from all the communities/teams participating. CBT funding will be used towards the purchase of awards for this meet.
