The project will restore five hectares of wetland on Horseshoe Lake, located on Yaqit aknuqi 'it First Nation Reserve, to improve wetland quality by restoring the function of the aquatic, riparian, and upland plant communities and create habitat for at-risk and culturally important Western painted turtle.
