The project is a feasibility study that will determine the sustainability or viability of an artisan/small manufacturer incubation/shared (ISUF) use facility in Nelson. The purpose of the ISUF is to provide resources (facilities equipment and instruction) to foster artisan and manufacturer development in the Kootenays and perhaps beyond. The primary market for and beneficiaries of the ISUP will be the graduates of KSA and other estabilished artisians in the area that wish to grow their businesses. A secondary but no less important market will be new or estabilished artisans or manufacturers in BC that need business instruction or counselling in their given discipline.
