The West Kootenay Women's Association will be hosting a celebration of the one hundredth anniversary of the International Women's Day on March 8th 2011. This event will honour the volunteers of the West Kootenay Women's Association while providing an opportunity to re ignite inspire and channel women's equality for the future. During the celebration there will be three events: A Talk on Feminism Through the Ages on February 8th 2011; A discussion about Women's Music on Kootenay Co op Radio on March 4 2011 and a large gathering and celebration with refreshments and theatre on March 8th 2011. CBT funds will be used towards the costs associated with this event.
