The City of Kimberley has recently determined that Kimberley residents have high domestic water consumption. In the summer months of 2003 Kimberley residents used up to 4300 litres per capita per day. The Subdivision bylaw design requirements for new construction are for 820 litres per capita per day (average) and 3040 litres per capita per day (maximum). These design numbers are high compared to the Lower Mainland.
