Funding for a three day peace conference. This venue will offer an opportunity to educate train and mobilize participants desiring to implement cultures of peace and healthy communities. The multi cultural multi faith venue will enrich community members and help expand and build partnerships around common values. This initiative will create deeper linkages between the educational institutions the youth in the community the peace and social justice groups and envirnomental advocates. The initiative will offer a stimulating space where interested individuals groups and associations will converge with a common purpose to share and explore effective ways of building global peace and sustainable communities. The participants will meet the challenges of new ideas expanded concepts and advanced learning with regards to positive growth change and transformation in our communities and envirnment. Post conference initiatives include courses through Selkirk College in non violent training and conflict resolution. Opportunities will be proved to heighten awareness in the community with respect to supporting on going peace initiatives social justice and environmental efforts.
