The Community Development Program was created to build capacity within the Basin in ways that are consistent with the CBT's mandate of supporting the efforts of the people of the Basin to create a legacy of social economic and environmental well being and to achieve greater self sufficiency's for present and future generations The Contractor and CBT enter into this Agreement for the purposes of providing funding to provide a program that responds to the needs of persons in the Basin by encouraging the development of skills knowledge and attitudes about money management and builds leadership and community capacity skills through the sharing of financial information and implementation of good financial practices. Participants will learn aspects of financial management and will also examine the social aspects of being poor and how poor financial management can lead to substandard nutrition and emotional health. They will come out of the session with a goal oriented spending and savings plan and an understanding of the value of asset building.
