Music on Main was started last summer as an entertainment project that flowed out of the former "Sounds over the Rockies". Last year it attracted 200 to 300 people every evening. This year the event is expanded to 2 nights a week Thursdays and Saturdays and has changed its title to "Music on Main". The objectives are to make Radium Hot Springs an exciting place for tourists to visit give local residents an event to be proud of bring people out on Main Street which exposes them to local merchants with the obvious benefit of increased sales and awareness and to showcase local musicians. CBT funding will be used towards the costs associated with hosting Music on Main this summer 2009.
