The Village of Nakusp will reduce wildfire risk by upgrading the wildfire equipment for the Nakusp and District Volunteer Fire Department, including water tanks, generators, radios, chainsaws and wildfire protective gear as well as providing specialized wildfire training to crew members, to strengthen their ability to respond to wildfires in Nakusp and surrounding areas.
