City of Nelson will hold a community FireSmart event, implement a community fuel reduction pick-up for residents, plan and implement fuel treatments at eight sites, totaling nine hectares, on municipal land to create demonstration sites, and implement communication strategies to promote wildfire resiliency in the Nelson area.
