Funding to develop an impact cost/benefit assessment which will aid in creating a values based sustainable strategic community development plan for Rossland. The process will incorporate a high degree of community engagement and support with an innovative mix of planning tools and research. The outcomes methodology and the lessons learned can be used as a model for other communities undergoing similar changes and can be used by partners for further projects involving sustainability planning. This project will also assist local government staff by establishing a clear set of strategies with action items to ensure that Rossland continues to move towards a sustainable future.
