This project supports the annual Shuswap Salmon Festival that celebrates and honours the salmon, aims to build public understanding of the cultural and ecological importance of salmon, and aims to strengthen relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in the Upper Columbia. The event takes place on September 14, 2024.
