This project supports the Shuswap Band to partner with other Secwépemc communities, the Ktunaxa, and Okanagan Nations to conduct a ceremonial release of Sockeye salmon fry into the headwaters of the Columbia River at a location that has been used historically for harvesting salmon by the local Indigenous peoples. The event takes place between May 21-23, 2025.
