The Nakusp Farmers Market which is held on 5th Avenue in downtown Nakusp every Saturday from May to October is where local Basin residents display their fresh produce baking crafts and arts for the public. CBT supportsthe community's efforts in coming together and providing freshly grown foods handmade products and an event that showcases local and area pride. This type of activity promotes a healthy life style and builds upon the knowledge of local residents which contributes to local food security. This project will support the costs of new sandwich board signs which will be placed at two key locations. This signage will help get the word out and show that the area is working at becoming a self sustaining community. CBT contributed $450 to this project.
