CBT funds will be used towards the costs associated with obtaining 16.8 samples from the Slocan Narrows Pithouse Village located near Lemon Creek to undergo accelerator mass spectrometry radiocarbon dating. The information will be used to contribute to the archaeological understanding of the prehistroy of the region and ultimately provide the Columbia Basin with a richer understanding of the significant cultural heritage and archaeological sites in the Slocan Valley.
