The British Columbia Conservation Foundation will support long-term monitoring of grizzly bear populations in the Elk Valley and will involve local residents in data collection. A goal of the project is to understand and reduce human-grizzly conflicts in the Elk Valley, thereby contributing to conservation of the species.
