CBT and the Columbia Mountain Institute for Applied Ecology enter into this agreement to deliver two environmental conferences one in Revelstoke in October 2010 and one in Cranbrook/Kimberley in the spring of 2011. There is currently a need to include social values human behaviour public participation and cultural differences in planning which the first conference will address. The second conference will focus on the mechanisms of carbon intake storage and release from natural systems as effective carbon management has the potential to mitigate the rate and extent of future climate change.
