The Valemount and Area Trails Society and Timberline Snowgoers Club have a track record of cooperatively servicing the area snowmobile trails. The current dilemma is accumulating the funds required to finance the project to the traditional standards in light of the soft economy. Services include: Snowmobile patrols which ensure safety (for example keeping people within bounds) and compliance with local agreements and reducing the likelihood of wildlife conflicts etc. Signage of both directional and advisory natures. Backcountry education. Trail mapping. Trail maintenance and grooming.
