The Water Wise/Fire Smart program is a public information program designed to encourage water conservation and wildfire prevention in Wasa and area. The goal of the program is to influence attitudes and behaviors of property owners. The WLLID will hire and supervise a local student who will visit residents over the summer of 04 to provide brochures verbal information and recommendations. Before beginning this work the student will receive training/mentoring in water conservation and community fire prevention. There will be follow up visits to observe and record whether or not property owners have followed the recommendations.
