The purpose of this contract is to support the CBT Water Management Task Force in formulating a strategy for the possible development of a 'community based water management coalition'. The objective is to 'create an organization or institution that has the capacity and credibility to represent the interests of residents and communities of the Canadian Columbia Basin on water management issues'. The primary emphasis is on the Columbia River and Basin. However there is also an interest in considering how local or community watershed issues and planning might be integrated with a basin wide perspective.
