The West Kootenay Youth Peace Summit will be for youth in the West Kootenay region aged 13 17 years old. The purpose of this event is to teach and inform youth about Peace Leadership and Team Building as they are important skills of being an effective leader. The youth will take part in different activities throughout the day that will teach and enhance their skills. All the activities will be hands on followed with discussion. The youth will benefit from this day event by acquiring skills that they can use to take action in their communities and world to make them better. The goal of the "West Kootenay Youth Peace Summit" is to allow for the quote: " Be the Change You Wish to See in The World" be put into action.
