CBT and the Columbia Wetland Stewardship Partners enter into this agreement to provide resources to support a project that will help provide a better understanding of the degree to which levee breaks are human caused and the resultant impact on the Northern Leopard Frog habitat. Leopard frogs depend on perched stable water wetlands with extensive emergent plants (cattails etc). This work being done in the summer/fall of 2010 will link an understanding of ecosystem health with an assessment of opportunities for re introducing Northern Leopard Frogs into the Columbia Wetland system.
