This project supports the securement of land in the Wigwam Flats area SW of Fernie. This securement of the No.3 priority conservation property in the East Kootenay area will fortify existing conservation lands in the region protect habitat important to a variety of plant and animal species and secure the last piece of privately held land in this critical ungulate winter range area.
