This Project will construct an 8' high perimeter fence to physically separate local domestic sheep which threaten the health of the wild Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep and work with the rancher to develop a mutually acceptable farm management plan. The refuge pasture will be used for the domestic sheep when the Bighorn sheep are in the area to reduce the spread of disease into the wild population. There will also be pre- and post-mitigation monitoring conducted by the BCSSP coordinator to report out on the effectiveness of this technique.
