CBT and the Nature Conservancy of Canada enter into this agreement to provide resources for the creation of wildlife habitat (in the form of wildlife trees) that will benefit a number of species including the listed Lewis's Woodpecker. The area known as the Dutch Findlay Range Unit (to the west and north of Canal Flats) will undergo an ecosystem restoration treatment that will include the recruitment and maintenance of wildlife trees in the summer of 2010. This project is a partnership that includes private land owners local conservation organizations and the provincial government.
