The Lower Kootenay Indian Band is sponsoring the Yaqan Nukiy Powwow Committee in hosting the 22nd Annual Yaqan Nukiy Powwow. This event will take place May 18 19 2013 in the Lower Kootenay Band Gymnasium. The Yaqan Nukiy Powwow is a traditional powwow event consisting of two days of dancing singing and drumming. This event will host participants and spectators from all over the world to the Creston Valley region. CBT funds will be used with costs associated with hosting this event.
