Cost to adminster this program in fiscal year 2002. This initiative will involve two components: a) the creation of a youth 'portal' website and b) the production of a youth print publication. The goals of these initiatives are to create an ongoing opportunity for Basin youth to network and share information and ideas and to create a media source which highlights and celebrates youth culture in the Basin. The website will provide links to a range of youth opportunities such as employment and educational opportunities as well as provide a forum for youth to dialogue with each other. The print publication will focus on Basin youth culture and provide a venue for youth expression on a range of current issues. Partnerships with a variety of youth organizations and educational institutions will be explored in the production of each media component in order to facilitate youth training opportunities within the program.
