The Rocky Mountain Trench Natural Resources Society will address forest ingrowth through hand thinning and invasive plant treatments on 28.9 hectares within a 166-hectare planned burn unit to restore open forest and grassland ecosystems, improve winter range conditions for overwintering ungulates and enhance habitat for species at risk.
